I've been using the new Facebook timeline for a while now and I love it. It's easy to use, looks much better then the old format and I think it's very easy to clean up and make fresh.
The ability to hide things from your timeline is at the side of every post, you don't have to delete something completely in order to hide it from everyone seeing it. You can also pick and choose who sees what much easier than before. (in my opinion)
If you haven't tried it yet, I'd advise giving it a try before you have no choice. Facebook intends to switch everyone over to this soon!
